Set Design Examples: Turning Edinburgh’s Mash House venue into CBGB’s, the iconic 1970s punk club in New York.
Edinburgh College of Art’s Performance Costume MFA assigns students the task of designing a hypothetical production, as the school is not connected directly to a theatre faculty. In our first year, we were given the prompt to attend an exhibit called Cut and Paste: 400 Years of Collage at the Scottish Museum of Modern Art, and to use the work as a prompt to inform our design work.
